Katrina Welch and Brooklyn Beck were chosen as Galt High’s All League Players at Monday’s league meet. Genevieve Akers from Liberty Ranch was also given that honor.

Galt High Head Coach Dave Simperman’s strategy is to enjoy the game.

‘We had a great year,” Simperman said. “The ladies really had a good time. We showed considerable growth. The young ladies all seemed to peak with time, with Hope Garten, Aina Perez and Emily McCalla all turning in their personal best at the league meet Monday.”

Galt Warriors Golf took third this year, just missing second place by one point. Welch and Beck finished the season with All League Patches and move on to divisionals in Woodland next week.

Akers from Liberty Ranch finished 5th at the league meet and was second overall with league points. She is also moving on next Monday to divisionals at Yolo Flyers Club.

The team showed overall improvement according to Liberty Ranch Head Coach Mike Turpin.

“We had a lot of newcomers who had never played golf before,” Turpin said. “They were a good group to work with and I look forward to more improvement next season.”
