The Galt Warrior girls basketball team ended its league season with not only its best season in years, but with two players named to the Sierra Valley Conference All-League list.
Raina Saldivar and Kaya Weaver were both named All-League; Saldivar, a junior, averaged a team-leading 12.5 points per game in 29 games, as well as 2.1 rebounds per game while Weaver, a sophomore, averaged 7.6 points per game and team-leading 2.3 blocks per game. Weaver was the second-leading rebounder for the Warriors with 78 rebounds, had 19 assists and was third on the Warriors with 34 steals.
Saldivar had 61 rebounds and 28 assists, was second for the Warriors with 39 steals and 11 blocks.
The duo helped the Warriors return to the Sac-Joaquin Section playoffs for the first time since the 2010-11 season, as well as finish the season with a 19-11 overall record.
The Warriors defeated Marysville 41-26 in the play-in round of the SJS D 4 playoffs, then lost to first-seed Argonaut 70-23 in the first round.
