Liberty Ranch volleyball hosted the Galt Warriors Monday night at the Hawk’s Nest. Liberty Ranch swept the sets 3-0; 25-6, 25-13,25-20.

Liberty Head Coach Mark Snow was out ill, so JV Head Coach Bryana Friend stepped up to the bench.

Friend says the secret to their success is how they feel like a family. “Our strategy going into last night’s game was just to work as a team,” said Friend. “The girls are really good at creating a family unit, which is so important. Coach Snow brings an intensity that the girls absolutely love and so I did my best to mirror this for them. This group of girls all have the same goal, and I think that they will have no problem attaining that goal this year.”

Galt Head Coach Jennifer Sanchez is impressed with their improvement. “Our team has showed true grit this week,” said Sanchez. “We are battling and improving our game with every set. We are constantly working on improving our play as individuals and as a team.”

Galt High will face Bradshaw Christian Wednesday and Rosemont on Monday.

Liberty Ranch, who is standing strong as 4-0 in league, will play Union Mine on Wednesday and El Dorado next Monday.
