The Warrior varsity team celebrates after their win against Amador last Friday.

The Galt Warrior football team faced off against Amador last Friday in a closely matched game. With minutes left in the fourth quarter Levi Humphreys found himself open for a reception and ran it 70 plus yards to tie up the game. Kole Jones came in and scored the point after touchdown that put the Warriors ahead 19-18.

Amador found themselves in a position to score again when Humphreys intercepted their pass, and the win for the Warriors was secure.

“It was a hard-fought victory against a good Amador football team,” Head Coach Tim Cobleigh said. “It was an incredible team effort on both sides of the ball.”

Kayson Jones, Jeremy Freitas and Levi Humphreys scored touchdowns and Kole Jones kicked the game winning extra point.

Cobleigh said it was a great week at practice.

“Our practice scrimmage teams on both sides of the ball, offense and defense, have been playing incredibly well at practice to get prepared for game day”.
