Lopez stops a Mira Loma player

The Warriors’ Marcelo Lopez stops a Mira Loma player along with a teammate on Sept. 20.

The Galt Warriors used touchdowns by four different players, with two of those plays involving touchdown passes by quarterback Robert Bulahan Jr., and the defense held Mira Loma scoreless until the third quarter as Galt won 27-10 at El Camino High School.

The win gave the Warriors a 4-1 record in the football preseason heading into this week’s bye week.

They’ll start the Sierra Valley Conference season next week at home against El Dorado.

The first of the Warrior touchdowns came in the first quarter, when Christopher Bustamante scored on a 30-yard pass from Robert Bulahan Jr., and Ethan Reece kicked the extra point for a 7-0 lead.

In the second quarter, the Warriors scored on a four-yard run by Blake Beck.

Bryan Velasco then scored on a 42-yard pass from Bulahan Jr. to boost the lead to 21-0 on the Reece kick.

The Warrior lead increased again when David Vitoria scored on a 44-yard run in the third quarter to create a 27-0 lead before Mira Loma kicked a 31-yard field goal for a 27-3 score.

Mira Loma added to its score in the fourth quarter on an eight-yard run by Jeremy James.

Bulahan Jr. threw for 150 yards and ran for 18 more yards, while Kenny Tran ran for 55 yards and had 28 receiving yards for the Warriors.

James led Mira Loma with 99 rushing yards.
