The Warriors’ Kayson Jones throws a pass in their game against Linden last week.

The Galt Warriors lost their third game of the year after a tough contest against Linden at Erv Hatzenbuhler Field/Warrior Stadium.

After an initial 7-7 tie, Linden scored the remaining three touchdowns of the game to win 28-7, dropping Galt to 0-3 this year.

“We came out in the first half and played a beautiful half of Warrior football. We as coaches need to find a way to keep our kids playing in the third quarter. Linden is a good football program, we prepared well this week. The first half showed that but we have to continue to play a full football game,” Warrior head coach Tim Cobleigh said after the game.

The Warriors will look to get back on track when they take on Johnson at home Friday at 7 p.m. in their third straight home game.

Cobleigh noted that the Warriors have no serious injuries and will be continuing their mission to play consistent, successful Warrior football.

“We’re just trying to play Warrior football like we did back in the day,” Cobleigh said.
